Thank you for visiting my website. I would like to acknowledge the first step you have made in seeking support. Sometimes this can be the most difficult part in the process of change.

There are times in everyone’s life when problems and issues arise that are difficult to cope with and that can feel overwhelming. At times like these it is not always possible to get the support we need from our family or friends. I provide a space for clients to explore such difficulties and work through painful experiences in a safe, private and confidential environment. This allows individuals the opportunity to work out why they are feeling as they do, to break out of unhelpful patterns and to find ways of coping better with the situations they face.

A client’s story
I met Stuart when he was a counsellor at As You Are Counselling services. Even though this was a low cost service I never once felt less than Stuart. He treated me as an equal in every way. It was a true human to human meeting which I can only regard as brilliant. I continually felt regarded and respected whatever I brought to the counselling session. The good ,the bad, the difficult were all met in the same supportive and respectful manner. As a woman it was great to work with a man in this way, initially I was hesitant but I think it was immensely powerful to work with Stuart, with no agenda, no games just as we both were.
He doesn’t have a magic wand under his chair and I do not have a Cinderella story. Life is still challenging. Yet change happened. I am now in my second year at university which was always a dream. Life just became unstuck, not completely but in a significant and tangible manner . I still remember his regard and warmth for me when I stumble and feel I can’t do it, or feel isolated in any way. I take a deep breath and carry on.
Essentially, I believe in Stuart as a counsellor 360 degrees. I hold no shadow of a doubt and feel lucky for the clients who find him. If you have any doubts I am so happy for Stuart to provide my email and I will discuss with you a bit more.
